The legend that is the Fairey Swordfish LS326 (MkII) HAS NOW BEEN REPLACED by W5856, the oldest flying example and another of the aircraft carefully maintained in the hangar here at RNAS Yeovilton. Most of her wartime career was spent in the Mediterranean. This is an accurate diecast model of a real life icon who earned her laurels flying over the white horses that concealed a deadly threat to our survival.

Swordfish model

I am so delighted with this model, beautifully made with detail, arrived promptly and superbly packaged, protected from casual damage that might have occurred during transport. It sits beautifully alongside my model of HMS Victorious with which the Swordfish had connections, both models will be my table centre for our Taranto Night Dinner which we still maintain as a tradition from my many messages dinners🍴🍷⚓⚓I am happy to support the maintenance of our historic aircraft and have a healthy collection of many of the FAA aircraft of my long service in the FAA as an engineer, sadly the Swordfish is one aircraft that I have no work experience but had close up experience of seeing them being displayed and at times watching them in flight.Thankfully I was able to purchase such a beautiful model for my collection wishing the Historic Flight best wishes in maintaing these magnificent historical machines for future generations to admire,I thoroughly recommend this superb model👍🤗⚓⚓⚓
